Anne Curtis: I'm truly honored to share that I have newly been appointed as a UNICEF Celebrity Advocate for Children. I just finished a 2 day field visit in Leyte where I learned about the needs and issues of the Life Cycle of a child. I got to spend time with mothers and their new borns, read to children in a child friendly space, experienced speaking to the youth about adolescent issues by way of UNICEF's "Usap Tayo" sessions and visited schools and day care centers where I was able to understand and see for myself how important it is to have Early Childhood Care and Development. As I've said, it's truly been a fulfilling and meaningful visit. This is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I am fully committed to raising awareness about the rights of a child and will do my best as I embark on this new journey. Come join @unicefphils and be a Champion for Children too.
